Example of web search marketing for small businesses in Ireland:

After 11 years online, this successful Irish company had a Google Page Ranking of just 1 (!). A content-managed site such as this will not achieve high rankings with Google unless the managing web company take the trouble to optimise the Page Titles, Descriptions, Alt text on images and seek quality incoming links. These are the elements which Google looks for in ranking a website. Sadly for Irish businesses, this rarely occurs, leaving the website languishing on Page 2 or 3 of Google searches where few searchers venture (some 95% of searchers don't look beyond Page 1). Pay Per Click - why it doesn't pay
